Problem

As a fashion company, Carola Zeta has several partners and it is important to keep the inventory up to date with that of its partners. Due to the number of the products, the company had to rely on a complicated, manual process based on CSV files provided by the partners to keep inventory on the e-commerce website up to date. The manual update process was long, time consuming and resulted in a significant delay in inventory updates.

Solution

We built a digital worker to automate the complicated inventory synchronization process. The robot scrapes the partner websites and extracts product details for all of the listed products. The robot then compares the extracted information with the internal database to identify all inventory changes. Finally, the robot updates the database and autonomously syncronizes all inventory changes to the company shopify store.

Impact

The robot is able to check for new updates several times a day and is able to synchronize all inventory changes to the shopify store within 2 hours. Carola Zeta save 40 hours a month previously spent on the manual process and order cancellation due to out of date inventory has been sigificantly reduced.

Results

Zero Mistakes

The robot never makes a mistake. It performs the inventory updates perfectly every time and never misses any inventory changes.

Greater Control

Since the robot can work with individual products, Carola Zeta has greater control on the inventory and can do things like custom pricing.

Faster Inventory Updates

Unlike a human worker, a robot can perform this the task several times a day leading to much faster updates.
